Dental bridges are a restorative dental solution used to replace one or more missing teeth by bridging the gap with artificial teeth. They are anchored to adjacent natural teeth or dental implants, providing a functional and aesthetically pleasing replacement.

The process begins with an initial consultation, where the dentist evaluates the condition of the surrounding teeth and creates a personalized treatment plan. The adjacent teeth, known as abutment teeth, are prepared by removing a portion of their enamel to accommodate the dental crowns that will hold the bridge in place. Impressions of the mouth are taken to create a custom bridge that fits seamlessly.

The bridge is then fabricated in a dental lab, usually consisting of one or more artificial teeth (pontics) supported by crowns or implants on either side. Once the bridge is ready, it is fitted and adjusted to ensure a proper fit and bite. The dentist will cement the bridge in place, completing the restoration.

Dental bridges restore functionality, allowing for normal chewing and speaking, and enhance the smile by filling in gaps. They also help maintain the alignment of surrounding teeth, preventing shifting and potential bite issues. With proper care, dental bridges can last for many years, providing a durable and natural-looking solution for missing teeth.
